Thank you for your interest in the maintenance services I provide. This section contains information essential for conducting a transaction between you, the customer and me, Rodrigo Medina, representing Wheels N’ Chains.

Bike Servicing

I will carry out the work on your bicycle as agreed when you dropped off, or I collected your bike. Before carrying out any work, an assessment of your bicycle will determine its condition. As the work progresses, you may be contacted and advised of any additional work that may be required and/or parts that may need replacing and the costs of this extra work. In no circumstances I will perform other jobs or replace parts without your consent. However, if you choose not to follow the recommendations, I cannot guarantee that your bicycle will work as it should. I accept no liability for any defects arising with the bike due to not having this work undertaken.

Completion of work

I will complete any work on your bicycle as soon as possible and within the estimated time scales that I will provide you. However, if this is not possible due to unforeseen circumstances, I will contact you with a revised timescale.

Price & Payment

I will quote the price for the work before beginning. If additional work or extra parts are needed, I will notify you and seek your consent to continue with these changes.

Payment is required on the completion of any work undertaken. I reserve the right to retain your bicycle until you have paid in full.

Collection/Delivery of Bicycles

You must collect or accept your bicycle’s delivery within seven days of me notifying you that it is available. If you fail to do so, I will send you a final notice giving you 14 days to collect your bike. If you fail to do so, your bicycle will become the property of Wheels N’ Chains.

Warranty

I am strictly a service provider. On receipt of your bicycle, you should inspect the work done, and if you accept the bike, our agreement will be concluded.

All replacement parts used for the work are considered final sale. When it applies, the manufacturer’s warranty documents will be handed over to you to use at your discretion.

This warranty is subject to you allowing Wheels N’ Chains to carry out the repair work required.

This warranty is not valid where, in my reasonable opinion, defects with the bicycle have occurred due to fair wear and tear, improper use, criminal or malicious damage, fire, theft, instances where the bike has been used incorrectly, or you have continued to use the bicycle after the defect or fault developed.

As soon as you accept your bicycle, you are required to inspect the work done, and the agreement between you and me will come to an end after you take back possession of your bicycle.

Risk

When given to Wheels N ‘ Chains, any personal items left on the bicycle are left at the customer’s own risk, and I accept no liability for any loss or damage to these items. I recommend removing any such items before dropping off your bicycle unless they are part of the repair order.

Liability

Suppose I fail to comply with these conditions. In that case, I will attempt to repair the issue for you as soon as possible, including providing you with replacement parts or credit for future services.

Under no circumstances will I be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill, stress or inconvenience) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify under these terms and conditions. I shall have no liability to pay any money to you through compensation other than credit for services.

Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any of your statutory rights, or in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

General

Wheels N’ Chains amends these terms from time to time. When the work is undertaken, the terms in force apply to the agreement between you and Wheels N’ Chains.
